Are you ready to buy a home? Exciting times! It’s a big step. And I know it can be a little intimidating at times. There is so much to explore, think about, and learn. And I want to help you by making it as simple and straightforward as possible. To get you started, the following are the first three steps I recommend:
- One of the first steps is to start to get an idea of the type of home you’re looking for. One thing you may want to do, for example, is begin to search the local MLS listings: http://www.mlsfinder.com/ga_fmls_mls/johnwelch. You may also want to check out some of the popular real estate websites like Trulia, Zillow, and Realtor.com to get a different look at what’s available.
- Another key step in this early stage is to begin to get a sense of where the housing market is and where it may be headed. You can also contact me directly and I can walk you through a number of the key factors that will weigh on your decision.
- This is also a good time to begin thinking about how much you can afford to invest in a new home. I can also help you think through this (it’s a big decision and there are a number of factors to consider). In fact, a good first step to help make sure you have leverage with the home seller is to get pre-approved. These, of course, are just the first few steps. The next step is to find the right real estate agent. And I can help you with that too. I may not be able to work with you myself (depending on where you live), but I work with what I honestly believe is the best real estate broker in the country, and would be more than happy to have a chat with you to see who in your area I can recommend.
Please don’t hesitate to give me a call and I will be more than happy to help you find just the home you’re looking for! If you prefer, you can also contact me here and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
